Youth Clinics

The Tennis Team is a welcoming, youth team that practices three times a week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  The A-Team plays in matches every Friday and the B-Team plays in matches on Thursdays. C-Team members work towards consistent match-play during practice. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to learn more and register your child for Tennis Team!

How do I know if my child is ready to join the CSC Tennis Team?

• First, no tennis experience is required!
• If your child has a positive attitude;
• responds well to coaching;
•  is a team player;
•  wants to learn the game of tennis;
• is seven years old or older,

then the tennis team is for you! The CSC team is a great way to learn a sport that kids can play their entire lives. Please contact our tennis chairs or head coach if you would like more information.

What sports equipment do I need for tennis at CSC?

• supportive, well fitting tennis shoes
• a tennis racquet – 21 Inch racquet for ages 5-7, 23 inch racquets for ages 7-8, 25 inch racquet for 9-10 year olds, 26 inch racquets for 11 and up. Grip sizes will depend on your child’s hand size. Tennis & Golf Company in Royal Oak will fit your child for the perfect grip and racquet size.
• If you registered by May 23, your player will receive a free team shirt. No other gear is required. Players wear black skirts or tennis skirts with their team shirt for matches.
• If you registered after May 23 make sure you talk to Lauren or Amy regarding your team shirt.
• If you want to purchase optional spirit wear to support our team you can buy from the gear shop.

Payment is required to CSC prior to participating in practices or matches.
